The “Blue Marble” cardigan is a cozy top designed to wrap you in warmth and comfort on cool summer days. It is a versatile piece for every season, eye-catching and sure to attract compliments. The colorful pattern draws attention to the neckline. The lace ribbing trims both the sleeves and the body.
This small, elegant top is knitted from the top down using my new pattern.
It pairs beautifully with both trousers and skirts.
The pattern includes easy-to-follow instructions and charts, though carrying the yarn across the back of the work requires some experience.

YARN
Background yarn: ca 300g Gjestal Maija color 207 (vaaleansininen, 50g = 130 m). Multicolored pattern yarn: ca 100g Viking Nordlys color 923 (100 g = approx 350m) Knitting tension: 23 stiches for 32 rows, 10x10 cm.
* The yarn I used for sample blouse in picture is no longer available and I cannot recommend it but up here marked yarns are good exactly.
* Please note that yarn consumption also depends on your knitting tension,
so you may need a little more or less yarn.

NEEDLES and other tools: pair size 3 mm and circular size 3 mm (40 cm + 80 cm). Double-pointed needles 3mm for sleeves.
A crochet hook to hide the yarn ends at the end of the work.
Stitch markers, auxiliary thread.

FINISHED SIZE: possible to knit in women’s sizes XS-S-M-L-XL-XXL.

CARE
To keep the top beautiful you should only handwash it in cold water with a delicate soap. Gently squeeze out water without twisting. Rinse in water of the same temperature. Lay flat to dry.
